What’s new for 2012? We hope to have a larger cafe area (shaded, we think!) plus new knitwear company Barn Swallow Garden and several markets with locally made Bliss Granola.
We’re also proud to be expanding our sustainability and social-justice missions. Our market will introduce composting and we’ll accept EBT (a.k.a. “food stamps”), providing matching money to make fruits and vegetables more affordable regardless of income.
We’re also providing assistance to six south Minneapolis “mini-markets,” helping them get fresh produce into under-served neighborhoods.
Joining our premiere sponsor Nicollet Ace Hardware, we’re thrilled to welcome new event sponsors Erik Brown Homes and EBT sponsors Pats Tap/Bryant Lake Bowl, along with the great businesses who have long supported us: Linden Hills Coop, Jardin Magico, Quality Coaches and Roadrunner Records.

Also, we have a Saturday market in the Fulton neighborhood, 49th & Chowen, also from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 2012 dates are May 19-Oct. 27. See fultonfarmersmarket.org for info.
And please follow us on Twitter at @kingfieldmarket and @fultonmarketmn, or on Facebook at Kingfield Farmers Market and Fulton Farmers Market.
Of course, this all wouldn’t be possible without our rockin’ neighborhood sponsors, including dozens of you, our premier sponsor Nicollet Ace Hardware and Jardin Magico, France 44 Wine & Spirits, Quality Coaches and Linden Hills Co-op! Thanks to everyone!
